Bank of America*

Experience Design Intern

June 2021 - August 2021

* Since working at a secure bank I am not allowed to send my work over to my personal laptop here is a synopsis

During my internship, I focused on UX research. I was handed with a slide deck of data that the research team had completed. Then I was tasked with analyzing the data and translating it into journey maps and personas, look below for an in-depth point of view. While completing this work, I had side internship projects to complete. I worked with other interns in different departments on the projects. We were given a problem, then researched it and presented the solution.

Data Analysis Project -

Objective: I was given a data set that our research team had collected. Where I was to analyze and translate the data into journey maps. I was looking at clients’ current experiences of applying for credit cards and deposit accounts.

Contribution: I started my journey maps with all the data they had given me, then I tried to go deeper. See where the journey truly started. Before the data began.

While translating the data I felt the need to create personas for each journey map. As well as the researchers could not gain information from every demographic and I reached out to my international friends for data for a NRA student point of view.

Collaboration: During this time, I would meet with my manager at least once a week to go into my journey maps. To see progress and refine form there. To see where I could improve and think deeper. I originally designed this in InVision then translated it into Figma.

Impact: This data visualization was key to our designers. With the data now easily comprehendible we can see the users thoughts, feelings, struggles, successes, and opportunity. Where we can improve our designs for the users. My end result was 10 journey maps and 10 personas. View journey maps and persona below.
